“We loved the template you gave us…it saved us a ton of time….”
Did you know...
Employees who understand and follow clear policies and procedures are less expensive.
Companies are better able to grow profitable stores because they’ve identified and codified their best practices.
Businesses with effective operations manuals are more likely to survive a catastrophe.
Every Business Needs a Systems Manual

We can help you avoid THIS!!
It's not about the manual...
It's about getting consistent results from your people.
Don’t Lose Sleep. Write it down!
JumpStart Manuals helps smart companies get their act together by documenting the processes and procedures that make them successful and developing strategies and techniques to teach it to their people. This means creating an Operations System. This entails three things: an operations manual, a training program and a compliance program.
Set the Standard
Whether a company decides to franchise or not, writing down the systems and routines into a manual is a prudent business strategy. Well written standards eliminate confusion, create uniformity and give the business owners the ability to scale up.
Teach the Standard
Training programs support the manual, its policies and procedures. Instructional design is never a one-size-fits all. Teaching people is complex and it’s important to understand when and how material should be structured and delivered. How one designs the training program is based on the client’s desired outcome.
Follow the Standard
Compliance programs ensure that everyone in the company follow the brand standards. Holding people accountable is only possible if the operations manuals and training are in place. It is impossible to hold people accountable to a standard they don’t
understand, or know how to implement. Without compliance, there are no standards.
Who We Are
We love business. Watching businesses grow is a joy because it means people are living their dreams. Sometimes, the dream becomes a nightmare. We’ve all been touched by the Great Recession, and learned to tighten our belts. During this time, we realized that the American Dream is still alive and well, but needs some help getting organized. Our goal is to help companies get their act together by writing down the processes and procedures that ensure their success.

Growth Requires Structure
Ready to grow your business but struggle because all of the systems are in your head, or worse, the brain of your general manager. What do you do if the GM decides to move to a distant state? How much does that cost you?
If you’re ready to become a Multi-unit owner, creating a system manual is the first step in controlling growth. Many companies die from inconsistent and erratic growth. As systems grow, needs change. Implementing such a program creates institutional memory, which gives the owner the ability to step away, and work on the business at an even higher level.
Three Levels of Franchise Systems
Emerging franchisors (0-50 units) need specific assistance in developing the Franchise Operations Manual. There are specific guidelines, rules and laws that must be adhered to. When emerging franchisors fail to create clear cut systems and routines, the system falls apart. It’s never a pretty sight. However, those that create the “rule book” and adhere to it, often become successful.
Growing franchisors (50-150 units)experience rapid change and the manual is often neglected…until a disgruntled franchisee dusts it off and hands it to their lawyer. At that point, the growing franchisor may stop growing. Keeping on top of the changing nature of the system is a full time job. Our professional writers, editors, graphic and web designers are focused on ensuring the manual protects your system, and upholds your brand.
Mature franchisors (150+ units) are often well oiled machines that struggle to keep up with the demand of their franchise community. Their manuals need to be dynamic, quick to edit and gather vital information. They have units globally and need a global, dynamic solution that transcends linguistic and cultural differences. They need the internet.
Part Time Writing Staff
Franchise incubators hire us because they want to avoid hiring a full time writing staff. It makes sense to be able to sub-contract a job to us because this is our specialty, and we stay on top of the news. We also white label products for franchise incubators. This helps them increase their offerings while retaining confidence that the job is done right.
Increase Value to Your Coaching Business

Many coaches use the business operations templates to help their clients write their own manuals. This gives them an extra income source and more services to offer.
